JOSAは、4月19日の『2025年OCR100ｍ公式大会 in 吉野川』終了後、9月にスウェーデンで開催される『World Obstacle UIPM 2025 OCRワールドチャンピオンシップス』のOCR100m競技に推薦する選手の選考を行い、各選手の出場意向を確認しました。その結果、OCRワールドチャンピオンシップスで初めてたたかう日本人アスリートたちの顔ぶれが決定しましたので、ご報告いたします。
Following the conclusion of the “2025 Official OCR 100m Tournament in Yoshinogawa” on April 19, JOSA conducted the selection process for athletes to be recommended for the OCR 100m event at the “World Obstacle UIPM 2025 OCR Championships” set to take place in Sweden this September. Each selected athlete’s intention to participate was subsequently confirmed.
As a result, we are proud to announce the lineup of Japanese athletes who will represent Japan and compete for the first time in the OCR World Championships! Let’s celebrate their dedication and achievements.

『World Obstacle UIPM 2025 OCRワールドチャンピオンシップス』とは
『World Obstacle UIPM 2025 OCRワールドチャンピオンシップス』は、World Obstacle（FISO＝The Fédération Internationale de Sports d’Obstacles）の国際連盟加盟国による公式の世界選手権で、60ヵ国以上からアスリートたちが集結し、オブスタクルスポーツ競技の世界一をかけてたたかう場となります。
この大会に出場するには、World Obstacle (FISO) に加盟する各国の統括団体による推薦が条件となっており、今回、JOSAは日本におけるオブスタクルスポーツの統括団体として、日本人アスリートの世界へのチャレンジをバックアップすることを決めたものです。
JOSAの推薦を受けて本大会に出場した選手の記録は、FISOの公式記録となります。
推薦選手は、2024年10月開催『第１回オブスタクルスポーツ（OCR100m）日本選手権』及び本年4月19日に行われた『2025年OCR100ｍ公式大会 in 吉野川』の成績をもって選考しました。
現在の、FISO公認OCR100m世界記録は、2024年12月にドバイで開催されたワールドオブスタクルチャンピオンシップスでたたき出されたKai Beckstrand（USA）の23秒575です。

The "World Obstacle UIPM 2025 OCR Championships" is a global festival of Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) and the official world championship, bringing together athletes from over 60 countries. It will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from September 11 to 14, 2025, at Slottsskogen Park, renowned for its courses that combine technical obstacles with endurance challenges.
The competition features events such as the 100m Sprint, a 3km short course, a 12km standard course, and team relays. Of particular note is the 100m Sprint, which consists of two days of preliminary rounds and a final, showcasing speed and technical prowess.
Organized by the international federation World Obstacle (FISO), this championship aims to promote and advance the sport of obstacle racing. Selected athletes from Japan will also participate, demonstrating their skill and determination on the world stage.
The selection of these recommended athletes was based on their performance at the "1st Obstacle Sports (OCR 100m) Japan Championship" held in October 2024, as well as at the "2025 Official OCR 100m Tournament in Yoshinogawa" held on April 19 of this year.
The FISO-certified OCR 100m world record is 23.575 seconds, achieved by Kai Beckstrand from USA at the World Obstacle Championships held in Dubai in December 2024.
